The State government's joke of an environment Minister, Donna Faragher, has irresponsibly and to the detriment of the community approved Magellan Metals to export lead through Fremantle. Magellan metals have a record of mismanagement and health and safety breaches which have led to a 9 million dollar lead poisoning clean up of the Town of Esperance. Dead birds, poisoned fish and sick children was their legacy to the community. The minister says that Magellan have met all environmental conditions imposed upon them, but Magellan also abided by the imposed restrictions in Esperance and proceeded to poison the town. Magellan and the Minister for the Environment have only their own vested interests at heart. Lets stop this foolish, socially irresponsible endevour. Say NO to Magellan and say NO to the Minister for the Environment, Donna Faragher. We will not be bullied.
