THE MOMENTUM BEHIND THIS MOVEMENT IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! SEEING THIS GROW SO FAST PROVES THAT OUR COMMUNITY IS READY FOR REAL CHANGE ON OUR STREETS!!!!

Taunton has become a disgusting and unsafe place to be in, I very rarely see regular police officers walking the streets therefore allowing people to think they aren't there so they can do what they want with no punishment for their actions. This needs to change! I'm 20 and I find it scary, imagine the elderly people who live in this town who are unable to 'look after themselves' if trouble comes their way!! Lots of changes need to be made otherwise people will loose all hope in avon and somerset police!!
i moved here from london 2yrs ago and have only seen a handfull of police in that time, but now i work late and have to walk homw from work as cant always afford cabs, with all this going on now i feel a bit scared, as i have to walk along the tone river and through a car park to get to my house which has very little lighting
100% support this me an my partner have moved away from taunton into her parents to save money. Both of us work in taunton and it would be easier for us to move back but there's no chance of that not with this big black ugly cloud of crime hanging over it. More of a police presence would definately make a difference
Areas need to be made safer/well lit near the town centre. I do not go out in town purely because there is too much agro but appreciate that more support needs to be out on busier nights.. and even days it seems :(
I work for a support company and one of my service users is always hassled when she is out! pay attention to the people coursing problems not to people that do nothing wrong! more patrols during day uptown and at night in more secluded areas people us to walk home!

I think its really bad and sad that taunton has become what it is today and its awfull for no one to feel safe anymore. I do agree very strongly that police should be walking around the streets making the place safe im 22 and im scared to walk home from work most night and that only at 8 at night but i really do hope that all these signatures work and that it will get us somewhere
