Get Shawn Phillips Inducted into the Songwriters HALL of FAME

a rare and precious jewel of being

Magic!! ....and for a lifetime

I was fortunate enough to see Shawn multiple times in the early and mid 70's… His vibe, his prowess, songwriting, social consciousness was way beyond anything at the time and to this day stands the test of time…. Now, it is about time to give the man this great honor!

Ahead of his time, very talented. Kids today have no idea what great music or talent is, everything is so commercial.

Shawn Phillips, where music and lyrics collide magnificently and reach deep into the pit of your soul.

Absolutely! This man's music and presentation is a magical meld of instruments most especially his incredible voice, harmony, melody, and text (Poetry) Unique in the most beautiful context.

My older siblings introduced me to his music in the early 70s and I have been hooked since. Even had a chance to see him play here in Edmonton, Canada in the late 80s! (just before he released Beyond Here Be Dragons). He has made my world so much richer...

i have followed Shawn Phillips since 1970, where he performed at the Agora Theater at Ohio State University. I've seen him at several venues, upwards of a dozen times and at one time had all of his Albums. I know own most of his CD's that wan be purchased. I continue to follow him and will travel many miles to see hiim play live. He is an Icon in the music business and deserves to be inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Sincerely, Chris Krouskop

The irony of his music so far reaching from a man so down to earth.thanks Shawn

Have been a fan for 35+ years. Have been to several shows and Shawn is always great! .

Shawn is the best songwriter in the last 40 years

Shawn and I were teenagers together in Ft. Worth. Glad to see him doing great things. Sue

great songwriter

Over more than 30 years I love to listen to his songs. From the very first moment I heard him I was a fan.

Shawn Phillps is a Songwriter in a class uniquely his own. I can't think of a Songwriter besides Dylan, that has impacted my life as much. We are blessed to have an artist like Shawn.

One of those true music legends, hee needs to be recognised

I've followed Shawn Phillips for quite awhile. I still have two 8 track tapes of First Contribution and Bright White. Wish I could still play them. Shawn in my opinion the greatest song writer/Lyrics/melody/performer of my lifetime. Shawn You Rock

Listening to Shawn Phillips has given me so much joy over so many years. I cherish his music!

If not for Shawn Phillips music I could not have survived this life. When I was so down and out, wanting to give up, his voice lifted me up and kept me going.

Lots of joy over the years
