They may not charge for it now but they sure collect alot of taxes when we have to spend to chase whatever non polluting reason the check engine light is on. Many people give up and scrap perfectly good cars because of check engine lights being on and being out of conditional passes.

The e-test only hurts the ppor. They cannot afford a good car so they are made to spend more on theirs while the mid-upper classes just buy new cars once they need an e-test.

Cash grab all the way! Now they test by the computer and any tripped code will not pass. Grrrrrr! Even if it has nothing to do with emissions .

Moving here from out of province I now see why this is such a scam and more people should get involved to scrap this. Yes it is nothing more than a scam and here's yet another reason it's a cash grab. Why does it cost more for my older motorhome,(double) than a pickup or van with the same engine. There are millions of these engines made (ford 460) that are in smaller vehicles everywhere! Explain this! And all parts of Ontario don't have it. Really! I live in a small community which is tourist driven in the summer. We need tests here! Please scrap this crap.

Not only is this a cash grab but since the Ontario government has investments in the auto industry, I believe it is to make more money for them

Total joke. My truck runs cleaner than half the new junk on the road but because of a tiny sensor fault I cant get a sticker. Just another way to bleed us dry.
