Beaconsfield High School is an excellent grammar school full of thriving students who are able to achieve so much. School is meant to be a safe, interactive and friendly environment however recently there have been many issues where students aren't allowed to express themselves ot even be themselves. At Becky High, students deserve to be able to express individuality and be free to identify how they choose without authority enforcing unfair rules to exert their power and gain control. Rachel Smith, the headteacher, has been preventing students from being themselves whether its through a change of hair colour or a new piercing. Students should be allowed to express themselves however they would like to. Ms Smith is a great head however not allowing students to be themselves or feel happy with themselves at school can cause their grades to drop. Why should the grades of intelligent students drop because of teachers and their rules. This is why I think you should sign this petition to get a headteacher who is more open and accepting of students and their choices.
