Star Wars directed by Joss Whedon would be a sublime pairing. Please sign and pass it on if you agree. Maybe we can get the attention and support of Mr. Whedon and the folks at Disney.

Details:

On October 30, 2012 it was announced that Disney acquired the Star Wars franchise and that Star Wars Episode VII will come to theaters in 2015. Disney also owns Marvel, and earlier this year released The Avengers, which was a mammoth success due in large part to director Joss Whedon's brilliance. Whedon is also the creator of Firefly/Serenity, which is in the same vein as Star Wars, so we know he has an interest in this type of story. 

NOTE: Avengers 2 is set to be released in 2015 also. If Mr. Whedon is not available for Episode VII, he could direct the next movie. This would be similar to the original Star Wars trilogy, which had a different director for each movie.
