The county has officially decided against the proposed four-way stop at Gateway Boulevard and Griffin Drive. This outcome reflects the clear preference expressed by the residents who chose to speak up. We should keep an eye on future traffic planning to ensure that local input remains a priority.

On March 4th the Gateway Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to ask Lee County to make Gateway Boulevard and Griffin Drive a 4-way stop. They are doing it without any serious input from residents. 75% of Gateway Gazette readers do not want this to happen. We need to have our voice heard by Lee County as well. Sign the petition if you are against the 4-way stop. I will deliver them to the County on April 1st. Please include the street you live on in Gateway in case Lee County needs verification.

Ridiculous idea. Traffic is already a nightmare during rush hour. A 4-way stop will just back everything up to the main road. live on Cypress Lake.

This is going to cause so many accidents because people will be annoyed and distracted. Stop wasting our tax money on things nobody wants.
