TMS to let go of Fireplace Fixture

Chicago, IL – Employees of The Marketing Store Chicago have been left rocked by events currently unfolding on the 14th Floor of 55 W Monroe. It was just an ordinary Wednesday, that is until news broke this morning of the planned removal of the Distillery Fireplace (known affectionally to some as Blaze.)

While some in The Marketing Store inner-sanctum think of the Fireplace as future trash, others look on this beacon of warmth as an old friend. Kurt Karlenzig, SVP of Digital Strategy, even referred to the iconic TMS fixture as a “demonstration of (some of) our company character and values.”

Last-minute plans are in the works to save the 14th Floor Fireplace Monument, but it might just be too late. The intention is to discard the Windy City’s equivalent to the Lincoln Memorial in a back-alley dumpster before night’s end.

If the Friends of Fireplace Committee fails in their mission to save Earth’s greatest masterpiece, workers are then encouraged to “Get Closer,” and to think of the good times spent with this marvel of light.
