The master plan for the Ed Austin Regional Park includes an area for an off lead dog park for responsible dog owners. The dog park however has not yet been funded by City Council or the Department of Parks and Recreation. A group of supporters known as the Friends of the Ed Austin Dog Park have received permission from the city to clear the wooded 4 acre site, which will greatly cut the cost of the project. That volunteer work will be completed by June 1st. By signing this petition you will be showing your support for funding for the completion of the planned project by asking City Council to include this project in the upcoming City budget.
