We, the undersigned, support the creation of a pedestrian plaza at lower Park Avenue at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway. We believe that residents, merchants and visitors of Laguna Beach will benefit from this beautiful gathering place for relaxation, socializing and entertainment. The trial period for Park Plaza between October and December of 2017 proved very successful, and we urge the City Council to take the necessary steps, including a professional design process, to make Park Plaza a permanent part of Laguna's downtown.

Transform downtown Laguna! More people less cars means more shoppers less congestion. Both sides win!
Please re-open this park park! We made wonderful memories over the holidays there as a new tradition & were saddened when it was taken down.
We loved watching movies, attending readings, listening to music and just hanging out over the holiday season. We always ran into people we knew and recognized. Laguna needs more places like this. Making Park Plaza permanent would be a good start.
A must for any “forward thinking” city to enhance pedestrian use in a downtown area. Forest and Park ave should be pedestrian at least on the week end, holiday and summer. Thank you; Laurent
Although I think the best place for a pedestrian plaza would be lower Forest Ave., I love the idea of a pedestrian friendly area, where you can meet and socialize with friends and strangers, listen to music, and grab or bring food. The plaza supports local businesses and creates a chill space for locals and visitors. It's exactly what Laguna needs!
Trial period in winter may have skewed results. I think it will be a big hit, and we need more of them downtown.

Park Plaza 's cooperative group installation became a magnet for the downtown business district generating community support from non-profit orgs working together with the city, and attracting LBHS students, families,, visitors, merchant participation as a public venue for meeting, Holiday celebrations and evening films.
