Spent many weekends at this campground with family and friends. Hate to see it in the condition it’s in. If anything like this were to happen to high knob it would have already been fixed. This is the only recreation area we have to camp in Pound so please fix it or lease it to someone so they can

Keep it open. This is what’s wrong with this part of the country. You want to just shut everything down. Not only will it bring revenue, it will provide jobs as well. And if you close it, people will still go there anyway. And there won’t be any patrols. So the place will be trashed. Keep it open and keep it beautiful.

I have camped here many times would be a shame not to reopen it because it's out of the way it's important to the people around to have this.

I worked as gate keeper in the early 1980’s and it is a wonderful place. There were campers from several states as well as one couple from England.

My mom managed Cane Patch campground one summer in the early 80s. Some of my Best memories ever. I hope they will reopen for future generations to make memories there.
