Dear Honorable Mayor Michael Bloomberg,
As residents of New York City we appeal to you and request that you leave the Far Rockaway Fire Engine (Engine 328) in its current home.
When we elected you as our Mayor we hoped that you would do whatever is in your power to keep us and our families safe, by removing the Far Rockaway Fire Engine (Engine 328) you are doing the exact opposite.
We are well aware of the current economic situation in which the city finds itself. The question we ask you is “Does risking lives save money?” by removing this Fire Engine (Engine 328) you will cause response time to increase dramatically, risking the lives of all those affected by the fire.

I am truly overwhelmed by the stories you have all been sharing about why Engine 328 belongs here in our neighborhood. It was never my intention to lead anything, yet you have turned this into a real movement that I am just lucky to be a part of. Please know that I am working hard to make sure our concerns reach the right people.

Ridiculous decision. Far Rockaway is already isolated enough and the response times are bad as it is. DONT DO IT.
My kids live here too. Leave the engine alone, we need them here!
