We, the undersigned, notify the City Commission of Tallahassee, Florida, that we are opposed to building “The Standard” student housing complex in the heart of historic Frenchtown. While we support in-fill housing and housing for the student population, this development will destroy the character of the neighborhood. The project does not provide housing for residents nor needed revitalization to the community. We urge the City Commission to VOTE NO and cancel the proposed sale of the property it owns on N. Macomb Street for the purpose of 900+ beds of student housing.
