To Whom It May Concern,
We, the undersigned students of St. Johnsbury Academy, are writing to petition the school to provide pads and tampons in the women's restrooms on campus free of charge.
We believe that pads and tampons are essential sanitary products in a woman's life, and that women are being unfairly charged for these products. If toilet paper, soap, and paper towels are provided for free in public restrooms, we believe that pads and tampons must be provided in the same way.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the quiet stress of having to hunt for supplies during the school day. Your stories are confirming exactly why this change is necessary and I am working to get these reports in front of the administration.

Seeing this much support for basic dignity at the Academy leaves me feeling overwhelmed. It proves that so many of us recognize how essential these products are for our daily needs.

I find it absolutely absurd that a school would charge for sanitary products, I have never in my life heard of such a thing. At my old high school they were available for free in every bathroom and the nurses office. I certainly hope the school comes to their senses about this

This is just one small way in which we can fight against the sexism still embedded in American culture.
Having a daughter at the academy makes me realize how ridiculous this is. Pads should be stocked just like toilet paper smh.
I am not a student and never attended St. Johnsbury Academy, but I very much support this petition! Feminine products are ridiculously expensive especially considering how important they are for women. I am proud of these students for starting this petition!
Not related to school, but believe cause is important.

Never went to SJA but this is basic healthcare. It shouldn't be treated like a luxury item.
