To clarify thing: this is for members of freelancer site working as freelancers, not buyers.

We, freelancers, have the right to keep the amount of projects we worked on either public, for potential buyers to see, or as private, if we don't want to disclose those amounts to anyone who visit our profile, for a lot of reasons - safety, discretion, etc, etc. 

The main concern is, the freelancer profile page is available to anyone, even if not member of freelancer site. It is even available to visitors coming from web search engines. 

Do you want anyone on the internet to possible see your income, without any filter? 

If so, why don't you post on the web your bank account statement?

For freelancers working as developers (not buyers), on profile page, in work history and feedback page, the amounts of all the projects are public. 

Freelancers.com must implement the following options: 

1. TOP PRIORITY - make all amounts private, based on setting in user profile. Once enabled, the profile history will not display projects amounts for other users, but only for owner 

 2. Nice to have: allow owner to make amounts visible to selected persons (e.g when posting a bid, have the option to make the amounts visible to customer - with possibility to revoke)
