Recently a long-time active member on VivaKurdistan was stalked offline by another member that continuously harassed her profile on the website. There have been numerous complaints over the years, mostly from female members who say there are too many members on the site that do not respect their privacy. Many of these female members believe that the blacklist system that exists at present on VivaKurdistan is not sufficient enough to stop this kind of behaviour. Those members doing the harassment simply get a new account and repeat the process, which I'm sure everyone on the website is aware of. In light of this constant problem, we the undersigned ask the administrators of VivaKurdistan to introduce better privacy settings on the website. We propose that a privacy setting be introduced on the website where members can set their own privacy preference. They can have an option whereby they limit access to their profiles only to those people on their friends list. If a member does not wish to use this setting they can chose not to activate it. We understand that more privacy settings may cause an issue with membership. But by putting a new privacy system, VivaKurdistan can ensure to clean out the troublemakers and attract new, more moderate members, many of which have left the website because of harassment. We ultimately believe that VivaKurdistan will benefit from a more attractive and welcoming environment to new and present members, and finally we can put this problem behind us. Sincerely,
