Twitter finally gave in and reinstated the account. I am blown away by the support and the pressure we turned on them to force this outcome. They clearly realized they could not silence us.

Hey all... this is Kiran. Over the last few years, I have shared hundreds of thousands of resources, books, videos, articles, information that thousands of people have found useful. I have gotten millions of views, been on podcasts and youtube channels, written and have supported countless people via private messages - people who were suffering and needed help in some way or another. I've reached people all over the world and helped raise consciousness in working class people, people of colour, poor people, LGBTQ people, women, people in and from the global south, and many more, about the systemic issues that oppress us all. Issues like war, white supremacy, colonialism, capitalism, racism, sexism, etc. Today I got suspended because I got into a heated argument with a white man who was making racist comments towards my friend and me - someone who claims to be for "Free Speech" but thinks a refugee and woman of colour talking back to him in a way that does no damage to white men like him at all was reason to report and suspend my account.
And he did it on the day of mourning for the indigenous people on the land he is a settler colonialist ("Thanksgiving").
I have emailed Twitter to ask my account @KiranOpal to be reinstated. If you agree my account should be reinstated, please sign this petition and I will forward it to Twitter as well.

Twitter continues to ignore my emails while protecting the fragile ego of a man who weaponized their reporting system to silence a woman of color. This entire platform claims to prioritize free speech but their actions prove they only protect the comfort of the status quo.

Kiran ran a brilliant and informative account. She appears to have been reported in bad faith for fighting back against an aggressor, and she should not be suspended.
Orwellian censorship of the real left standing against fascism must stop. Calling a white supremacist a 'creaker' shouldn't earn an activist a suspension.
Please reinstate her account. A reaction on someone’s explicitly racist comments is valid and shouldn’t be reason to discard her account. Meanwhile twitter is just showing that they sympathize with racists again again and again.
It is unconscionable that Twitter does not provide a transparent appeal process of decisions made by algorithms. The victims are free speech and those most in need of exercising it.
It's transparently obvious that tech companies still completely fail to see the harm they're doing, and feel the need to silence as many accounts of people organizing on behalf of the vulnerable, as they do accounts of people trying to spread authoritarianism and ethnic cleansing. Stop aiming for a balance between good and bad, stop being the neutral coward who thinks suffering is fine as long as it's distributed equally between villains and victims.
Combatting Bolshevism and all ultra-leftism is a task of ultimate importance in our day and age. Kiran does a wonderful job of this. Free Kiran!

Twitter is missing a key scholarly activist voice without Kiran. Re-instate her account.
