Ray Caldwell has been incarcerated for 15 years. He was sentenced to 25 years in 2007 and has since turned his life around tremendously. Although he made a poor decision as a kid, that shouldn’t determine who he is as an adult. Let’s sign this petition to help get Mr. Caldwell’s story heard.

Ray has always been ambitious and someone that people look up to. From his younger siblings to his Muslim brothers, to his peers, and most importantly to me. Before I said yes to marrying Ray, I thought about what my future would look like, and i knew then like I know now that it’s going to be very bright because he’s not just an average person who makes excuses and doesn’t do his best to improve . Mr. Caldwell is more than an inmate; he has so much to continuously give the world. Throughput his time in prison, he has managed to be a support system for his family and close companions by encouraging them to stay on the correct path and making the best decisions. One thing about Ray that is consistent is his giving spirit, whether that’s money to the less fortunate as a child and teen or now praying for them as an adult. His character is what’s the most outstanding about him. He has taught me how to take accountability for every action I take. Mr. Caldwell has so many things to give to this world; he’s a great leader and I know that his positive influence is well needed. I can’t imagine not having Ray, I can’t wait until he is home and he’s able to enjoy his life and able to create his family and a foundation for his family. Aside from being my significant other, he’s a brother, a friend, a mentor, and many other things that people need.
