I must admit I thought he was guilty till I did my research and found out who the real Derek is! He needs to have justice considering we all know this is wrong! He was doin his job imagine if all cops went to prison for just doin their jobs like every other cop!

Derek was an excellent officer and has won 2 medals of valor in the line of duty. He should never have been on trial. Arradondo should resign for allowing the Knee on Neck Restraints to be taught and included in the MPD Procedure Manual.

It's a sad day in the nation when evidence means nothing and you are guilty for wearing a badge. The media convicted him before the first day of trial. This corruption and decay will continue unless we all stand up for true and what's right.

How can anyone get a fair trial with worldwide one sided knowledge from a biased video. If they'd of found him not guilty the riots would of happened and guilty the jurors could rest and sleep at night not worried bout retribution. Thus was political all the way

I watched the trial and was taken aback when it was mentioned by the prosecuting solicitor Mr Floyd had a paraganglioma, a rare tumour. Unfortunatley ive experienced the same and it explains alot about Mr Floyds struggles with the police.

Although Chauvin showed excessive force that day, it was not his fault that George Flyod died. Floyd was high on multiple drugs, and died from that. I am sorry for his loss, but do not believe Chauvin should spend the rest of his life in jail for doing his job

I believe Derek was doing his job as he was trained. Public sentiment overtook logic in examining his actions during the court process. I think it is sad the way he has been treated and want it to be corrected. At the very least he should get a new trial, but I believe his conviction should be vacated and he should be released and compensated by the state of MN for his time served.
