The council just confirmed they are providing the transport subsidies we demanded. This win belongs to every one of the 291 people who signed on to back our students. Keep an eye on local council announcements to ensure they follow through on the rollout.
At a recent meeting of members of the Franklin College Student Association concerns of the costs of travel to college were raised. It was agreed that they would survey local opinion to seek support to present to the North East Lincolnshire Council.
Please respond to the following survey question:

The momentum behind this transport campaign is building fast because students are tired of choosing between education and bus fare. Get the word out on Facebook today and call your local councillor to demand they stop ignoring these costs. We need to keep this pressure on the council until they finally act.

Fix the bus prices. It is the only way for most of these kids to get to college.

Education is supposed to be free but these travel costs are basically a hidden tax on students. Not fair on the families struggling to get by.

The price of the bus pass is ridiculous now. My daughter has to work two jobs just to afford getting to class everyday. Sort it out.

College is hard enough without worrying about how much the bus costs. Help the students out.
