We, the undersigned, ask that our elected officials immediately create a safer Fort Apache with Bike Lanes on the dangerous section between Blue Diamond Highway and Sunset Blvd.

Updates

December 14, 2018

The latest surge in support has grabbed the attention of the local planning commission. We have secured a meeting with the department head to review our proposed bike lane designs for the Fort Apache corridor.

I live at Pebble and Fort Apache and I hate taking my bike out on this stretch of road.

Making this stretch safer is a priority. Not a lot of similar North-South streets have a bike lane making it tough to navigate safely.

This is the most dangerous portion of the most popular cycling route in Southern Nevada. With no alternative routes and no bike lanes, cyclists have no choice but to take their lives into their hands. Car drivers would also be safer with the addition of bike lanes.

Please make this road safe for us to ride our bikes. It’s only a matter of time before someone is hit and killed on that dangerous road with how it is currently.

We have some great roads to ride in Vegas, we just need some help getting a few of them connected to each other. This would help with that.

Bike lane badly needed. No other way to connect to BD. It’s dangerous and scary but we all have to do it anyway
