Dear Forest City (Stapleton master developer) the people who have signed this petition wish to encourage you to reduce your retail rental rates so that small businesses can afford to start and maintain their presence in our community. We no longer want to hear of Stapleton born small business chosing to establish a store front in LoDo or other Denver 'top of the market' areas because they can not afford the rental rates in the existing and upcoming town centers. We want to ensure the Stapleton area is populated with businesses other large chains. We strongly feel a solid blend of corporate and independent stores and restaurants adds charm and character which attracts home buyers and shoppers/diners. Ultimately, it will generate a better quality of life experience.
