Show your continued support of the 2020 Road Improvement Plan. Our current initiative is taking place on road 2 where the long stretches of road tempt people to speed over the 25 mph limit.
In response to many property owner’s concerns over the safety of pedestrians, including children and pets, and the maintenance of our roads, with the approval of the board, I have authorized the construction of speed bumps along the 113 place, 111 ave, and 123 place.
The strategic location of these bumps will deter speeders and double as rain water baffles to mitigate road erosion by slowing the destructive momentum of flowing water.

I'm not opposed. Just concerned about the cost. As long as as the funds do not take away from road maintenance itself I'm just fine with it. However, if the speed bumps do NOT double as water baffles, then they are not "road maintenance" but safety items and should be taken up by a vote of the POA.
How about a bench or picnic table for students at their bus stops
Fine with it, as long as costs are kept within reasonable means.
Been wanting this for a long time!
Go forward. I do have concerns that speed bumps will end up leveled the next time we have someone grade the roads though.
You have my support.
Wish u guys could see 55 ++ miles per hour with road 'fines' blowing into air. Plus kids on bikes in Darden getting to school stop. SAVE LIVES AND ALL OF US $$ over some people with such DISRESPECT!! Hope they enjoy future speeding tickets. To me - well worth a life!

I actually live past and have to drive over the speed bump now in place and it's a DISASTER. Please take a ride up the road and actually drive over it before you decide if you think it's a good idea. It's a hazard in itself. I have an older model small truck and it's already ruining my suspension. Because of the location you can not see it in the later afternoon because the tree shadows obscure it from view. How can the roads be properly maintained with those things? The signage at the beginning of the road is absurd. Having lived in the same location since 1997 I can honestly say this is the WORST idea ever.
