Takis needs and deserves help for all of the wonderful work he does for abused, abandoned and sick dogs.

Greece should embrace every effort to become a truly civilized country and should use every means to reach this goal! It is unacceptable that Greece is not allowing voluntary veterinary help to shelters like Takis, to help with neutering and spaying the abandoned animals for free! Stop the SHAME of Greece and help Takis and others who truly want to help to reduce the population of strays without cruelty and bloodshed! Greece, the world is watching you, don't act like a 3th world country, but show us true civilization!

When you have volunteer vets to neuter stray dogs and cats why won't the Mayor accept this offer. Help Takis shelter- non profit organization.

Please, neutering will help many poor dogs to have a better life. Nobody cares new puppies and puppies born to very cruelty situation. Home dogs should be neuter too, people in your country are very cruel, they just put puppies plastic bag to die..they just drive over their dogs or they just left dogs to the mountain to die..what kind of sivilisation you creecs are ? Bad,cruel..people torture their animals..i dont want to travel your country and come with my money to the country where people are so cruel to animals..it must stop !

What reason could you have to not sign the contract but stubbornness .It does not look good on your island when tourists see the suffering of animals but they are giving good money to the economy of the island by spending in the hotels restaurants etc. DO your job and sign the petition !

Swedish tourists like your country for its beauty but they dont like the cruelty to animals that exists so much in Greece. The most intelligent thing to do now is to sign the contract with the abroad vet clinic. Neuter animals is truly the best thing to do. Otherwise there will be even more strays and more tourists beeing upset of the suffering of the animals. Then the animal cruelty will continue and the swedes will have enough and stop visiting greece.
Do the right thing here. Just sign the contract please.

My wife and I are great lovers of Crete and the Cretan people. We visit often and very much enjoy our visits. The one thing that distresses us however is the large number of suffering and discarded dogs that we see. Takis Shelter does a very fine job of helping to reduce this suffering but it will continue while dogs are not neutered and more unwanted puppies are produced which then join the stray dog population.
Please help Takis and his dogs by supporting voluntary vet help.
Thank you.
