We, the residents and friends of Port Chester, support the Port Chester Dog Park Group’s efforts in establishing a dog park in Port Chester. Additionally, we concur with the steps the group has taken thus far to achieve that goal, which includes:
· Gathering Community Support
· Conducting Location Assessments
· Fundraising
· Consulting Professionals on Layout and Design
As such, we ask the Port Chester Mayor and the Board of Trustees, in keeping with a representative form of government, to direct the Village Staff to develop a plan that is amenable to the Port Chester Dog Park Group and it’s supporters, which includes ample space and appropriate terrain.
NOTE: We are requesting signatures only. Any donation requests in connection with this petition are not connected to the Port Chester Dog Park Group.

Nosotros, los residentes y amigos de Port Chester, apoyamos los esfuerzos del Port Chester Dog Park en el establecimiento de un parque para perros en Port Chester. Además, estamos de acuerdo con los pasos que el grupo ha tomado hasta el dia de hoy para lograr este objetivo, los cuales incluyen:

De esta manera, le pedimos al Alcalde de Port Chester y la Junta de Síndicos, de acuerdo con una forma representativa de gobierno, para dirigir el personal del pueblo para que desarrollen un plan que se preste al Port Chester Dog Park Group y de partidarios, que incluye un amplio espacio y un terreno apropiado.
NOTA: Estamos solicitando solamente firmas. Cualquier solicitud de donación en relación con esta petición no está conectado al Port Chester Dog Park Group.

even the political world can take a stand to use their energy to create something simple. if the park does not work out. it can be changed.Seeing such a wonderful idea that has been noticed nationally and land so terribly underused is awaste of taxes and resources. Just stamp it approved as agreed by all parties last year and all can be successful.
Two years ago all those that were running for a position on the BOT said they would support a dog park. Now two years later they simply, never thought the "Dog Group" could raise enough money for a dog park. The "Dog Group" has been working very hard to make this happen and has from the beginning stayed in close contact with government to make this happen but now that it's time to execute there's seem to be an abundance of changes to the park. What a shame that the government hasn't been proactive with the "Dog Park Members" to make it happen..
Dear board of Trustees, numerous residents have invested a lot of time and money into this project to ensure that the park is run properly and safely. A large percentage of the village will benefit from this park. It is unfair to dog owners that all park space in Port Chester is currently 100% off limits whether our dogs are on leash or off. Asking for this area is not greedy, not is the construction of the park being hastily entered into. Please approve the plans so the construction can move forward. And please support your current residents, the people who elected you to represent them with the understanding that you would keep their interested at heart while running this village. Thank you.
It's shameful that the village waited until the 11th hour to reverse its position on allowing this, AFTER the group did all the work and raised all the money. Let's make this happen.
We only want what's best for Port Chester and our friends with four legs. Please let's find a solution.

I really hope this dog park becomes a reality.... I have two Shnauzers... And I have a gate that goes out to Abendroth parking lot. The park would be so convenient and fun....
