Foothill High School and Hewes Middle School dress code that prohibits tank tops for boys, tank tops for girls with straps less than 1" wide, girls shorts that are shorter than inseam to mid-thigh in length, skirts and dresses that are shorter than inseam to mid-thigh in length is
just completely in 2012 unreasonable, outdated, unfair, and,
discriminating.
Has any parent had any luck in finding clothing at stores that meet these outdated codes?
Foothill High School and Hewes Middle School dress code needs change now!
I have been hearing from so many of you who are tired of spending hours at the mall only to leave with nothing that fits these arbitrary rules. It is exhausting to watch our kids get pulled out of class for their clothing instead of focusing on their education.

Seeing this grow makes me realize how many families are just as frustrated as I am when trying to shop for school clothes. It is heartening to know I am not fighting this battle alone for my daughter.

As an individual that strongly believes in expressing themselves through clothing, I find the dress code to be incredibly restricting. I do not believe exposing ones shoulders is distracting, nor do I believe that crop tops, ripped jeans or ripped jean shorts are inappropriate.
