Sunderland football club today ordered my 90 year old father to leave the stadium, as they have nowhere to store his folding wheelchair, which he uses to get to the ground but is the able to sit in his own seat. this is despite storing the chair for 3 1/2 seasons. lets get them to store mobility aids for people like my father.

I am currently compiling the stories you have sent me to present directly to the club management. Please email your local council representative to demand that mobility aids be treated as essential equipment rather than an inconvenience. Keep the pressure on them until they reverse this discriminatory policy.

80 years plus supporting s.a.f.c. And gets treated like this. Words cannot describe how I feel. Is there no common sense left in this world.
It's disgraceful that with the money made by the league and team that an old man... A life long fan, is told to leave because his health now requires a wheelchair.. I suppose the league ONLY wants young healthy fans.... The league has forgotten that it's their older fans who have instilled a sense of team pride into the younger generation...

I have a disabled husband & son, so know exactly what it's like for the Sunderland supporter, maybe football managers should spend less money over paying the players & more on the fans that spend all there wages & savings coming to support those overpaid players...
What a disgusting situation,all the fans of the club should walk out in protest, if the club doesn't have any money coming in they would soon change their minds about his wheelchair.
This man should be celebrated inst as if asked to leave. Don't be jerks!

This elderly man, my dad, goes to theatres and concert venues where staff and facilities are always available to store his chair near to where he is seated. It is not a problem - get it sorted SAFC. This farce has gone on long enough for what appears to be one supporter out of 40,000+!
