28 years ago Michelle Schofield was stabbed 26 times and left in a canal along I-4 near Lakeland, Florida. Although no physical evidence tied her husband, Leo R. Schofield Jr, to the murder, he was convicted and sentenced to life. 16 years later, unknown fingerprints found in Michelle's car were identified as belonging to Jeremy Scott, who lived less than 2 miles from where Michelle's body was found and is serving a life sentence for another murder.Yet Leo's appeals were all denied.
