I don’t know if he’s innocent but he needs a new trial. Given the finger prints and confession and untenable timeline there is most definitely reasonable doubt.

He is innocent. Bogus, uncreditable eyewitness testimony was the only thing that led to conviction. No forensic evidence. Behaviors not consistent with a murderer- calling police, searching for wife, contacting wife's family. No blood at the supposed scene of crime. Fingerprints at the scene led to a now known convicted murderer that later confesses to the crime. Why is Leo Schofield still in prison? The prosecutors, judge, and entire legal system doesn't want to admit they are WRONG! A man lost his wife and then his freedom is taken from him for more than 3 decades for a crime he could not and did not commit!! This is the true crime, our justice system is faulty and people don't want to admit their own mistakes.

How in the world another man can confess to the murder of michell multiple times all the while keeping Leo in prison. Leo should be granted a new trial to be exonerated and released! It’s a damn shame that our justice system is not working the way it should. How any judge can know this but not grant a new trial is beyond me. I once believed in our justice system but with this world today I am so ashamed to admit that in the United States of America our justice system is a huge failure! Get your acts together because the whole world is watching you.
