The damn should never be removed. It brings enjoyment to people both above and below it.

Please preserve and take better care of our dam going forward. This means everything to the people who live here and is the centerpiece/main attraction to future downtown developments and revitalization.

Some things are best left untouched. In fact flat rock should be fortifying it. There is no good outcome to altering your river front. Your city is little without it, and is the center point of downriver for a lot of people.

Tearing out the Dam is not only going effect the wetlands leading to the lake but change the whole eco system and wild life, not to mention tourism in and around Flatrock.

The flow of the Huron River to Lake Erie will forever be changed & not for the better. It will deteriorate & eventually eliminate the shores, wildlife habitats for many species, some of them endangered & including our beloved protected bald eagles. It will also hurt our local residents & business owners. Change is only good when it is going to enhance the quality of life of the people, the safe habitat for our wildlife & our environment & enhance the greater good for all that surrounds the Historic Huron River. The removal of the damn is not one of those changes.
