Its absolutely insane that something that maintains the well being of many societies is even considered to be torn down jeopardizing 100s of people and homes, for WHAT? Whats important enough to flood and kill many individuals and damage property ????

To demolish the dam would be a huge loss to the Rockwood community and the wildlife that inhabits it. Talking about destroying such a huge ecosystem is irresponsible.

I live in Florida and I'm concerned about the damn. I never lived in Michigan, but my family does!!!! And i caught my very first pike on thst river. And if it means so much have to the locals... it means alot to me....SAVE THE DAMN!!

I'm very suspicious of the feasibility study after it says the effects on property values will be "marginal"!!! Makes me question their integrity on the flood plain assessment? As well according to their own research. Maintaining the dam is cheaper than removing it! Not to mention the CO off gassing which will occur from the vegetation rot once removed!!! Lastly the silt which will be disbursed downstream!
