Soccer is rapidly become the premiere choice for young athletes all across America. Kansas City has been affectionately deemed "Soccer City, USA" by many due to the success of our professional soccer teams, as well as our state of the art soccer complex in Overland Park. It is a great time to be a soccer fan in KC! With all the positive energy about soccer in our community, it's troubling that "Soccer City" is relegated to playing approximately 75% of their Heartland Premiere League Games at Heritage Soccer Park. This facility is one of, if not the worst soccer complex in Kansas City. These fields are not quality. As parents, coaches, referees, players, and taxpayers, we ask Johnson County Parks & Recreation and Heartland Soccer Association to recognize this problem and make a serious investment of resources to fix these fields. The fields are not safe, and are certainly not conducive to teaching our youth this beautiful game. There is NOTHING beautiful about Heritage Soccer Complex. FIX IT NOW!!!
