We are motioning for the Engineering Mathematics 1, ENGR1180 semester 1 final be moved from December 2nd to December 13th, the following Friday. This course had a late start as we had a mid-semester change of lecturers and have very little time to study for this examination considering the course materials to be covered (which the syllabus has not been fully covered by the lecturer as yet) and the date chosen for this examination. We are currently having 6+ hour extra classes for this course with the lecturer trying to finish the syllabus on Saturdays, and it is fully considered martyrdom to fully understand this information for the 2nd of December. Also, all of our examinations were placed in the same week (for Biomedical, Electrical Power and Electronic Engineering students) and gives us very little time to amply study for each examination. The Civil Engineering students also have a very packed exam schedule. And as such, we the first year engineering body are demanding a necessary change to our mathematics schedule.
