This is a petition geared towards having the Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Council see our interests in hosting a feast day in August of this year (2018), in honor of the Pueblo revolt of 1680. We as Pueblo people feel we should honor the sacrifice of our ancestors who gave up everything for us to be here today. We as Pueblo people have been strong and continued to remain strong for hundreds of years, so let us come together as we once did 338 years ago, but this time for peace, honor, and as one people again.

I have officially requested a formal hearing with the Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Council to present our proposal for the memorial feast day. I am currently finalizing the documentation of our community support to ensure they understand the scale of interest during our upcoming meeting.

Tesuque Pueblo here representing. This needs to happen for our people man. Really hope the council listens this time.
Start at the local level, and make it grow state wide!
