MY goal is;one day to have a Native American Heritage Day as a federal holiday. To honor all Native Americans that were slainfor no reason at all and died for this country. God created everyone and NativeAmericanswere on this land before it became the United States of America. Is it not time for them to be recognized? I say it's time. I have Cherokee Heritage in my family; and I feel this is the most important cause to finally have peace among the spirits that cry out still in pain from the way theywere wrongfully treated. Thank You Ms. Ruth Bryan.
I am truly humbled by the messages many of you have shared about the importance of recognizing our history. This movement has grown far beyond what I ever imagined because you chose to stand with me in this purpose.

My grandmother was full blooded Cherokee and she taught me so much. We really need this day to honor them.
