We, the undersigned, believe that intregity should be restored to Penn State University's football program. We petition the Board of Trustees to remove Joe Paterno and Mike McQueary from their positions with the football program. They may have followed the letter of the law when Mike McQueary reported to Joe Paterno that that he saw Sandusky abusing a young boy in the showers at Penn State. But what about their moral obligations? Joe Paterno and everyone had Penn State who knew what Sandusky was doing cared more about protecting their football program than protecting those young victims. How many more boys did Sandusky go on to abuse because Paterno, McQueary, and the others failed to do the only right thing in that situation - pick up the phone and call the authorities? That is the only right answer.
They failed those boys once. Don't let them do it again by hiding behind the "letter of the law". Paterno and McQueary should both be fired and come clean about what they failed to do.
The rapid growth of this petition indicates a shared demand for accountability regarding the failures at Penn State University. It is clear that the community refuses to accept silence as an appropriate response to these moral lapses.

How could they just look the other way?? Makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it. Justice for the victims.

They knew. Period. Why is anyone still defending them? CLEAN HOUSE. PSU needs to start over.
