Rose Eveleth is the woman that started demeaning a scientist in his finest hour for wearing a T-Shirt that was gifted to him by a female friend who designed and made it.

Such behavior is appalling and should not be encouraged.

Nobody should be shamed for what they are wearing, and feminists should be all too familiar with that sentiment.

This sort of abuse behavior should not be tolerated and we, the undersigned, would like to see action undertaken betting anyone who would instigate and encourage the harassment Matt Taylor received.

She should not be employed by any publication in any way if hate speech and encouraged abuse are her contributions.

The momentum behind this petition is growing steadily as more people recognize the necessity of accountability for public conduct. Reaching the first hundred signatures will provide a clear foundation for the argument we are building against this pattern of harassment. Its not about "A man who made great deed is above criticism". It's about a feminist bullying somebody for his choice of attire, while preeching freedom in selection of clothing. This is against: double standarts, internet bullying, inequality.

Bullying should never be tolderated. Rose Eveleth needs serious introspection for apalling lack of tolerance and judgement. Her employers are better think twice about dealing with someone displaying such a narrow minded and offensive behavior.

Her immaturity has blown an issue out of proportion and caused grievous, emotional trauma to an individual. She is not an adult, but rather a bully who chooses to use the gift of free speech to injure others without any thought as to consequences.

If Rose Eveleth is so sensitive that a shirt ruined the entire experience for her, she's in the wrong line of work. A job in a quiet and solitary environment where she is unable to lash out when her sensibilities are offended would be more appropriate.

I'm female and her behavior makes me sick. Preaching freedom to wear what you like and to be judged on your accomplishments, not how you dress, is a feminist battle cry. Hypocrisy is not becoming of anyone, especially not a published writer.

Disgusting. She is hindering the acceptance of females in the workplace by making comments such as these. If she doesn't want men commenting on her looks how dare she comment on a mans. Focus on the success not some semi nude cartoon characters.

A friend of mine signed with my name and wrote a horrid comment, but all the same this is something I believe needed to happen a long time ago.
