We the undersigned believe the treatment of Christine Nixon by the Royal Commission and the media is abhorrent.

We do not comment on Christine's actions in regards to Black Saturday but rather on how she has been vilified in recent days. Her work with the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery project has been exemplary and demonstrates her commitment to, and compassion for, the victims of the bushfires.

We do not support the sacking of Christine Nixon.

The constant attacks on Christine feel heavy and draining right now. We need more people to put their names down so we can show that this treatment is not acceptable.

Sad to see how she is being treated after all the hard work she put in. Not fair at all.

Leave Christine alone. She was the one actually out there on the ground helping people while everyone else was just talking about it.

The media is just looking for a scapegoat. She has done so much for the recovery effort and this is how they repay her. Absolute joke.

Disgusting behavior from the press. She deserves respect for her service.
