I believe the bullying of Harvey price, and countless others is disgusting and believe it needs to stop. This needs to be addressed before there are more lives lost to this.

Let your story be known: to the town board of Naples, to the town boards of neighboring towns, to people who represent children covered under the ADA, to the Bridgton News, to the Portland Herald, to the Bangor Daily News, even to the Office of the State's Attorney General and the Office of the Maine Secretary of State. If we don't speak up and show up, change and correction will not occur.

Suzanne is right. Appointed town officials and elected persons of the town board are counting on this to fade away; for parents to cower in the face of corruption (morally and physically,) and of denial of the accountability that should be required of their positions. If we continue to NOT attend board meetings for: 45 minutes on two Mondays each month, we are sending the exact message that Suzanne has stated: that we don't REALLY care, that it's OK by us that our issues and the issues of our children remain just as bad as they have been for the years that Mr. Price has inappropriately warmed the seat of "Recreation Director" or might I suggest "resident tyrant." It's up to you; it's up to me. Are we going to "show up" as a strong confirmation of our written words here. Or aren't we? If we don't, nothing will change. You can't expect a Spring election of board members to take care of everything. They'll feel no obligation to represent you if you don't show up twice a month to sit in a chair for 45 minutes. (Because so few people show up now, the full hour is never used, and the board is more than happy to adjourn after 40, (even 30!) minutes. Pretty appalling. You don't have to speak. Actions speak louder than words. If you show up, the message is sent. The next meeting is: January 9. The time allotted for that meeting is one hour, 7 pm-8 pm. If you're not there, we'll probably adjourn at 7:30. Should you want to have your precious three minutes to speak, be early. Mr. Caron gavels the meeting to order at exactly 7, and immediately asks for public participation. They then move on as quickly as possible. If you'd rather not speak, just go. After seeing what Ms. Deschenes has done for us, the least we can do is go and sit and listen. If she can do it, with full-time work and full-time parenting, we can do it. It's unfair to expect her to bear the brunt of the concerns of an entire town.

Agreed. An absolute waste of taxpayer money -- a "class" that is the exact opposite of what Harvey Price needs to learn. And all smugly overseen by the town manager.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it may have been Cebra who did this.

If you had any guts, you'd not have signed in as "Anonymous." And any idiot (but not you, I guess,) knows that this forum is for a petition against Harvey Price, and the cover-up of his foul behavior by the town manager. It's not a political forum.

In the Bridgton News, Ephrem Paraschack, Town Manager is quoted as having told reporter Dawn DeBusk that Harvey Price attended a 'Verbal Jiu-Jitsu' class. This is a laughable slap in the face and waste of tax payer dollars. I have done much reading on verbal jiu-jitsu. It has deep roots in teaching children to effectively manage bullies and bullying. Wait WHAT!!!? How can you possibly read the comments below and feel that Harvey is the one being bullied? It would be a better investment to have members of the community take Verbal Jiu-Jitsu courses to help manage Harvey, as he is the one with repeated and documented bullying behavior. It has been over 3 months since I filed this petition and you took the time to sign and comment. And it would appear that no corrective action has been taken, nothing is done, and our voices are NOT BEING HEARD or TAKEN SERIOUSLY. Once again. I strongly encourage you to send your complaints to Ephrem Parashack in writing. And even more strongly encourage you to attend the next Selectboard Meeting on Monday, December 12th at 7pm at the Naples Town Office. If you are from Bridgton, Casco or Sebago - please attend and direct your complaints about Harvey and please let your Selectboard know, as well. The problem cannot continue to go ignored. Our children and the people and visitors to this community deserve better. Much better. Don't let this demand of the Town fade away. The Town is counting on that. But we are better than that and stronger than that. Speak up folks. Again. But louder this time. Please!

What we have here in Naples is an autocracy. Naples should be expanding, attracting new business, improving town facilities. And it's not happening. Instead there is the cry of a beautiful town that is dying because for ten years, a select few have been able to get away with not properly doing the work required by their job description, and by taking home a paycheck with little to no work done to benefit the resident taxpayers. Please keep abreast of news of these travesties by picking up the Bridgton News every Thursday. If you can't get out, you can search the Bridgton news website. For example, type "naples recreation director" in the search box, and then click on the small magnifying glass. Many articles will automatically appear. Thank you, friends and neighbors, for your interest in the improvement of our town, and for the effort to expose nepotism and illegality re: the administration of town officers.

Oh and just so it's Crystal clear, a young girl GIVING her boyfriend & friend 4 pieces of candy, 3 being returned right away & the open one being paid for, is NOT stealing but a much older teenager taking a dollar for a 33 cent piece of candy & refusing to give back the change is. It's also hateful,

Ps... you may want to reflect on how rude & abrasive you were during the 1 season of sports you were around for & perhaps read the definition of theft of services in relation to committing to pay for half the expense of a teams jerseys in exchange for having a business logo printed on the front then refusing to pay once they are already printed or for committing to cut hair at a fund raiser at ones own salon in exchange for the team advertising & making & holding signs to promote it, then not even bothering to show up, leaving everyone in a bind without enough people to cut hair. Actions like that don't win people friends. Had you actually attended field clean up day or every practice & game in its entirety you would have known my children are never dropped off w/o a parent or family member present. As for the rest of your cruel words, not worth responding to, as we have great relationships with all the coaches we have ever been blessed to have & the families we have played sports with for many years. Thank you for demonstrating the abusive mentality of 2 of our abusive rec directors supporters.

I'd like to personally thank Ms Vaughn for posting her slanderous lies about 12 year old children & he nearly adult daughter for omitting to inform Mr. Price the truth about the fact the young girl in the snack shack on October 3rd gave her boyfriend 2 air heads & my son 1, after they jokingly asked her if there was any free candy, hoping she would buy them some, and for omitting that after he teased about why her bf got 2 : he 1, that she gave him another and that she selected the candy herself, probably because they are 3 for a dollar hence her original distribution of 2 to her boyfriend & 1 to her friend. The boys only wrong was in hinting for & accepting candy. Not very chivalrous , but certainly not a crime. Your daughter made her disapproval & irritation clear prior to embarrassing them & demanding they pay for the candy themselves. Being that your daughters misrepesentaion of fact to Mr. Price led to him verbally assaulting a 12 year old child who was holding an infant in front of other children & parents, the town investigated the entire incident . Fortunately other people saw how hateful & inappropriate your daughter, who again is nearly an adult, treated the young boys . When my son handed your daughter the dollar it was an absolute given she was going to deduct the cost of airhead he was GIVEN in the first place. A normal person would have simply said you don't have enough left for skittles but you can pick out something less expensive. He had plenty of change left over from the dollar after paying for the 33 cent airhead to buy more candy. Thank you for admitting your daughter stole his change in writing g on the internet, although that fact had already been established.

I'm not moving anywhere. I live in this community and graduated from LRHS. We are a great community, but we have some serious issues related to town management and corruption. We need change. Tax payers are demanding change. And I'm not leaving this town or abandoning this petition or abandoning my pursuit of positive change. Not until the corruption and injustices are righted.
