Ernest Dominic Capers has been the Defensive Coordinator for the Green Bay Packers since the 2009 season. Despite gobs of talent, we consistently find players out of position and poorly placed. This is not a talent issue or a health/injury problem. This is a scheme and play calling issue. Capers must go, and McCarthy can't be too far behind him. Green Bay has been very tolerant and it's time to stop that. Green Bay has seen some of the BEST individual defensive players, and these careers are not allowed to flourish because of the play-calling. Surely they shine as individuals but we have never seen a GREAT, FEARED or even an above average defense under Coach Capers. Example: Today (11/13/2016) The Packers came into the day ranked 1st in defense against the run. And 8th overall, but the Packers gave up 23, 17, 27, 16, 30 and 10 points the first six weeks, including all but falling apart against Jacksonville and Detroit, in games that should not have been close. Capers' soft, laxed approach is the issue and the obvious lack of consistency week to week, season to season is a direct reflection of his play-calling. The last three weeks Capers' crew has allowed 33, 31 and 47 points. Not a typo, FORTY SEVEN POINTS TO THE TITANS! Point is, defensive rankings by yardage rarely tell the tale, and often do not convert to W's on the defensive side of the ball. Look no further than Minnesota and Arizona this year. Even if it is a player issue, the coach of the unit is the one held accountable, except in this instance, for some strange reason? I sat in below freezing temperatures and watched Colin Kaepernick annihilate the defense on the ground during the playoffs and seemingly EVERYONE IN THE STADIUM KNEW WHAT KAEP WAS GOING TO DO, except Dom. How many pro bowlers on the defensive side of the ball need to come through Green Bay, before we realize it's the coach?

Watching another Sunday unfold like this is gut wrenching when you know exactly why the defense is failing. The stories you are sharing in the comments prove that I am not the only one tired of watching our best players held back by these outdated schemes.

Watching this momentum build is proof that the frustration I feel every Sunday is shared by an entire community of fans who are tired of seeing wasted potential. It is clear that we have all reached our breaking point with the way our defense is being managed.

This NFC game and all the ones before consistently show how poor of a coordinator DOM capers is. Stop making excuses. Even when he had great players our defense has suffered because of poor decisions and play calling. He has wasted talent and has no clue how to stop a good offense. FIRE DOM CAPERS and start new....you are wasting Rodgers best years with horrible defenses
I agree. seems like every playoff game ends because of a defensive miscue. we have the clutch qb. our offense reacts well under 2 mins, but the defense has lost us several overtime games and not given the O a chance! please get rid of capers!!!

Unfortunately I don't think all the petitions in the world will solve this. We haven't had a defensive backfield in 6 years . Our D hasn't won us a game in the same amount of time. We saw 8 years of Farves career wasted with Sherman now we waste Rodgers best years with the worst Dc in football. If McCarthy likes Dom so much we should fire them both. This TURNOVER style of defense is the most retarded idea EVER. Getting off the field on third down IS a turnover. If we had a BAD D backfield wed win the superbowl. These guys are awful. With the exception of Dix. Oh well looks like another competitive year where our offence gets us to the playoffs and our defense embarrasses the whole team once were there. I just wish the Giants had been able to catch the ball, we would have been out in the 1st round and maybe Dom would have been chopped. I say we add a petition FIRE McCarthy. He clearly lost his mind. Maybe Dcapers has blackmail evidence on him?

Dom has proven that his defensive scheme cant win, Remember Seattle, Arizona and now Atlanta. His defense don't stop anyone, they just hope the other team will make a mistake. His D does not dictate the play.
