The purpose of this position is to send a crystal clear message to the Superintendent of Schools for Manchester, NH that this type of behavior on the part of the school system and its affiliates is unacceptable, and that the Principal of Hallsville Elementary School, Ms Christi Michaud should be reprimanded forher role in this, as well as other abuses of power during her first year as the principal of Hallsville Elementary School.

The Hallsville Elementary School Handbook states that Principals are responsible to:

• Ensure a positive and safe school environment for students and staff;

• Communicate school rules to students, staff and parents;

• Enforce the Manchester School District’s Student Code of Conduct;

• Assume responsibilities for school rules being followed by his/her students;

• Communicate the discipline action taken with parents and involved staff;

• Maintain discipline and attendance files;

• Report all suspected illegal activities to police and the Superintendent’s office;

• Encourage and model exemplary behavior and attendance.

It is very apparent that Ms Christi Michaud has strayed the course in her duties to:

√ Ensure a positive and safe environment for students

√ Enforce the district's code of conduct

√ Encourage and model exemplary behavior

forcing children to speak and act out violence, simulated though the violence may be, is abusive and destructive. Any adult who does not understand this basic principle has no business having children under their care or authority.

I have been complaining about this school since sept. when my son's thought it was ok to humiliate my son who has adhd.. n the principle told me it was a "privilege for my son to go to this school" when did education become a privilege in the us!?

I should add that Ms Auger was a witness to the discussion had between Mr Ryder and me. She heard Mr Ryder confirm that the things Stevie had told Ms Auger and me were true. I am quite positive that after our meeting with the Superintendent on Monday morning, things will get properly investigated and taken care of.

Not only do we have the testimony of a very honest child from that class but the teacher of that class, Mr. Ryder, also confirmed that what the student was saying was correct. When asked why he let it happen he said, "The principal set up the lesson and his hands were tied."

i am appalled by this! My son is in the 4th grade at Hallsville and relieved that this was not in his classroom. It was inappropriate and wrong to bully these children to participate in something like this.

What happened at the school to young students is totally wrong ! Those children were violated ! To make them do something so uncomfortable. It is so wrong ! I am a grandmother to one of those students !

Ms. Michaud should be terminated for her role in this "excercise" in bullying. What she did to these children is nothing short of child abuse. If my child were in her class I would be suing her for all she's worth. How dare she do this to these children! The school and anyone who had any part in this would also be named in my suit. She has no business in any position of authority over children, she is not fit to teach.

Thanks to a new elected NH State Representative, effective School year 2015-2016, notices advising parents of sensitive material and subject matter, to be discussed, will be sent home prior to any demonstrations, in all Manchester School District classrooms. These notices will be MANDATORY. Parents will now have the opportunity to review this material before its demonstrated, to our children. We will then have the right and ability to opt our children in or out of the exercise. Due to the recent issue at Hallsville, in result of the decisions made at the school level, as well as the eventual resolve of this matter by the Manchester School board administration, our family takes great comfort knowing our children will be exposed to this kind of material at our discretion only.
