Petition for Replacement Principal of Pete Gallego Elementary School
Parents, grandparents, guardians, and neighbors are being asked to stand together and sign this petition for replacement of Pete Gallego Elementary School principal, Mr. Villalobos.
Our current principal has shown no interest in the best well-being of students at his school. Our students are suffering from lack of motivation and overall support from their very own school. Several parents have voiced their opinions on this matter and have only been brushed away. Reports have been filed within central office, again with nothing being done. Faculty members have reached out to our current principal, asking for the OK to try new motivation method for our students. Again, they are shut down.
Students deserve a principal that will lead their school. Someone to push them to succeed. Someone that can show the students they are more than just a "job" and can leave a positive lasting impression of their school.
Little to no support is currently shown towards students best interests.
School sports teams. Our current principal has never attended a single Volleyball, Football, Softball game nor has he shown support for the Varsity or JV cheerleading squad. Teams are made to take turns using the gym for practices, starting at 3:30 pm, but have to have everyone off campus by 5:30pm. This allows only two hours of practice time, split between two volleyball teams and two cheerleading squads. It is nearly impossible. Our own students are not allowed to practice in the cafeteria. No reason was given. Other schools reward their athletes with trophies, certificates, and other reward items. Pete Gallegos Elementary does NOTHING. The parents of our athletes order trophies out of pocket that are given to the students at the end of the year. Coaches/sponsors must have their own certificates made as well.
PTO program. While hosting a Talent Show for the students, our principal stood in the hallway waiting for it to be over. He did not watch the performances, clap, or even smile to show support to his students. Both parents and students alike took notice. This lack of support will leave a lasting negative impact on students that worked hard on their performances.
Fund raising activities. Students are not allowed to fund raise on their own school campus for their own school team/association because "if one group fundraisers here, then the other teams will want to also". This is appalling to parents of students on school teams. Students are trying to represent a school that will not even show their own support. Once again, students are led to believe that what they do doesn't matter to the school. This is a shameful act that must be stopped! Our students deserve to feel like they are appreciated for what they do!
Staff members are allowed to yell at and intimidate students.
Several parents have put in complaints regarding staff members verbally abusing our students. This behavior is allowed by our current principal. Reports have been submitted, in writing, to central office and no action has been taken to address and correct this wrongdoing. Students are sent to school to be in a safe environment. Having our children yelled at and intimated is NOT a safe environment!
Faulty tutorial program.
Some students are pushed to attend tutorial programs which are only offered for one subject, regardless if the student is struggling in another area. Teachers asked to be allowed to focus on one subject up until December break, and then focus on another subject after. This was denied. Teachers were told to only focus on one subject regardless of what the students were actually struggling with. This allowed for no benefit to come in the areas that were needed the most.
Special needs children are not treated with respect.
Parent conferences seem to be never-ending in this matter. Whether it be a medical condition that is not being correctly addressed in the classroom or a language need that is not being met in the cafeteria, our current principal has the same answer, "it's out of my hands". He has even gone as far as accusing the student of being at fault when these happenings are brought to his attention during a conference!
Please take a stand for our children that are not being given the opportunities they deserve from their school. Sign this petition to stand together as we demand our principal be replaced for the best interest of our students. Do not let the silence continue! Together, we will make a difference

Mr. Villalobos continues to ignore the blatant struggles of our students while central office hides behind bureaucratic inaction. I am tired of our emails going into a void and our concerns being treated like an inconvenience. We are currently preparing to take our fight directly to the school board because we refuse to let these children suffer through another year of his neglect.

Villalobos and his administration have ignored us for too long but this surge of support proves they cannot sweep our concerns under the rug anymore. We have the momentum now to force the district to finally acknowledge that our kids deserve better than a principal who treats them like a burden.

I completely agree there is a huge lack of interest and support towards the students. There is a lot of fundraising but what does the school have to show for it, I believe Pete gallego is the only elementary school without a play ground which leaves kids to play with rocks. So much needs to be changed and the three years my child has been attending Pete gallego things seem to get worse.
Yes I've witnessed how un approachable the principle is and some of the staff has no respect for the parent...they want to talk down on us like they do to do students...so disrespectful and very unprofessional!!!

He does not have any respect with students or with parents of students not respect indications that doctor give children with disabilities
He is very rude to the students when they walk in the morning and greet him. During lunch time children are expected to stay quiet, they can't socialize for anything. He does not motivate the children.
Mr Villalobos is very rude when he opens the door to a parent he doesn't bother saying hello. He shows no school support when it comes to pep rally ceremony field trips fundraising. He allows staff to do things that are NOT allowed !!!!!
Time for someone to get off their phone and actually work

This is true my cousin is an "A" student,and up to now he is failing he has always had Honer Roll ,I believe 99% of this petition being signed will change not only the school ,but the staff and the children's education towards their knowledge and smartness in their subjects. "Let's make Pete Gallegos Elementary a great school and have them replace their principal
