Fire Prevention - PETITION To Increase Brush Clearance

After fires in 2018 and all fires occurring now around Ca it us crazy that these hillsides are full of dried weeds and NOTHING is being done! Just a disaster waiting to happen!

The Wolsey fire came within “14 feet” of my next door neighbor.

Even insurance companies want to see 200'.

It is so dangerous having dry brush literally right on top of the hillside 100 feet from residential structures. Please keep our community safe before it's too late.

The city needs to get with it and hello project our property from these devastating fires

All of the studies COSCA points to regarding recommendations for how much to clear and where are out dated and pre Woolsey fire. We need action from COSCA NOW!!

Praying this will happen since I was one of the victims of the Woosley fire

Please cut down the brush do the fires don’t go wild this year.

Clearance is essential to our safety We clear all the brush on our property and believe additional clearance adjacent to us needs more attention

If we lose our home because of your negligence and failure to follow common sense when wind blown embers are known to ignite these fires is the highest example of bureaucratic malfeasance. Moreover, it will cost your Agency about $1 million because I will sue you.

Wind blown ambers don't know that they are supposed to stop flying at 100 feet. During the Woolsey fire ambers and flames were advancing farther and faster than fire fighters could manage. 100 feet might be sufficient with high humidity and no wind. But that's not what occurs during a blazing brush fire surrounding the Conejo Valley.

Please increase brush clearance (a little work) to prevent a disaster (a lot of work).

It is urgent to clear dry brush and create fire breaks for the safety of all the communities threatened last year with the Woolsey Fire.
