Again big "POWER" exercising their might again the common Man

Coillte is letting the country down, the majority of sites are far too close to rural communities they have no regard to our existence eg Health and Safety ,also wild life have established safe environment for their future survival. Do they not recognize Ireland is to become the dumping land for the rest of Europe who do not want these structures in their own country.

Local people need to be part of any turbine decision as its our home

Time for some joined-up thinking on matters environmental and time to wake up the public on just how much they are being ripped off with this scam

Where is the logic in the taxpayer doling out an afforestation grant to regenerate the Irish forestry stock, whilst permitting Coillte to denude existing forestry to construct wind farms? Is the objective to reduce atmospheric carbon or to enrich investment funds?

Industrial turbines should not be near homes.

We do not have an energy crisis, we have a carbon crisis. Wind energy has proven ineffective at reducing CO2 emissions over the last ten years of an aggressive roll out. For Coiltte to be felling trees compounds the carbon crisis. It is also socially and ethically unacceptable should the proposed wind farm emit noise at levels permitted by the Wind Energy Guidelines which allow noise levels FOUR TIMES above the World Health Organisations' Recommended Target of 30dB LAeq outside, at Night.

This has to stop. It's too expensive and it destroys Ireland. We gain nothing from it and lose everything for it.

Why am I not surprised!

They destroying the landscape for absolutely no environmental gain.

The only International credit Ireland has is Carbon credit. Coillte is destroying one of our last resources.

coillte are clear felling trees to facility the erection of wind turbines and associate electrical networks all over the country, yet they refuse angling clubs to leave access paths to fishing lakes for local anglers to waters they have fished for generations. These lakes are now forgotten surrounded by trees never to be fished ever again. Another (service) leisure activity taken from the locals and tourist. Coillte have the exact same agenda as government that to denude the countryside of its people. It's high time we stood up to them and see them for what they are.

coillte have wrecked our river and lake trout fishing continually both by polluting and cutting access to fisheries with trees plantations, (not leaving even a path without planting as access) they try to portray publicly that they have a good relationship with the general public, it's time that the people copped on to them.

there are so many questions about the cost, actual viability and the negative impact of wind farms. To build one that will stretch over so much unspoilt countryside will have a huge, extensive impact. There should be a moratorium!

Experts tell us that the East coast is best for wind turbines. The wind there is more reliable and constant, with fewer storms which require the turbines turned off.. Why does Coilte choose Donegal over the East coast counties? This Coilte scheme is unjustified, uneconomic, in the wrong place, and destructive.

Coillte have done enough damage to our landscape and should not sell any land for windmills.
