UEFA Finals Ticketing Policy

For the attention of Michel Platini and UEFA Dear Mr Platini We, the undersigned would like to convey our disgust at the current UEFA ticketing policy for major European Cup Finals. As the recently became UEFA President, we believe it is absolutely imperative you conduct a review of the way tickets for major European finals are distributed. The people who make the Champions League, and the game of football special are the supporters. Without the passion of the fans the game is nothing; a game of empty stadia. They, above anyone deserve to attend when their dreams are realised and the team they support reaches a final. Instead, UEFA distribute more than half of all final tickets to corporate hospitality, companies and individuals who sell their tickets on for huge profits; denying those supporters who follow their team throughout the earlier rounds what is sometimes a once in a lifetime chance to see their team play for the trophy. A quick look on the internet will see tickets being sold for The impending Champions League Final for thousands of pounds each, and it is time for UEFA to stop turning a blind eye and allowing the supporters, the heart and soul of this great game to be ripped off and ruined by opportunists and touts. UEFA, with the current ticketing policy, are positively encouraging corruption, and the fans they claim to represent to be taken advantage of. This practice is a blight on the game of football itself. We, the undersigned are sick of being take for granted by UEFA, and ripped off. If you really want to do something great for this game and mark your presidency as one of the people, we urge you to act on this. Give Finals back to the people who deserve them Mr Platini, and stop giving tens of thousands tickets to people who just don\'t care. We ask you to distribute 80% of tickets for major finals to the clubs, and give finals back to the people to whom they belong.
