With the appropriate support these kids are quite capable of constituting to society. The State schools seem to adopting a triage model for determining what special needs students get assistance. Creating situations where students who could go onto University are not getting support in the subjects needed to get into University. Between the all the resulting problems - not just the unintentional abuse from well meaning "trained staff" who do not understand the condition - this creates a situation where traumatised students are basically groomed to be on pensions for the rest of their lives.
