I don't wish this to set a precedent across other local authorities in Scotland.

What are they thinking? The NHS suite in studio 3, the new ice rink from Sport Scotland, the outreach community classes?

Active Stirling has done a great job to develop sport in Stirling area. I personally have used their services and I am currently having swimming lessons

It looks like the days when Labour was for the working man have totally vanished. Bit strange how a company that doesn't appear to have ever run an ice rink can score higher than Active who have been for years.

Active Stirling have provided a great service over the years and raised sport participation to very high levels - why take a risk and change something that is working well in the community!

Active Stirling are a shining example of working to ensure accessibility for all members of the community. We need more organisations like this, not less

This is a ridiculous proposal. How can it be right that a "not for profit" organisation loose out to a commercial company?

You could easily understand this sort of thing from the Tories, but its absolutely appauling that Labour councilors are supporting this. They should hang their heads in shame and illustrates exactly their own failings. Time to rid Stirling of this nest of vipers in the May election !

Sports and leisure in Stirling should not be run by a private enterprise but by Active Stirling by and for the people of Stirlingshire.

Please do not press ahead with the change of provider of community sport to Stirling. This change is unwanted by the local community and completely unnecessary.

Are SLM - the company recommended to take over Stirling sport/physical activity even registered as a Charity in England? Can't see them on the official Charity Commission register. If they are supposed to be a charity then why aren't they one already in England if that's where they've been so successfully trading for all these years - running 140 facilities? - does it not suggest they can't register as a charity in England or they would have done so by now?

Health and fitness services provided by Stirling Council and founded using taxpayers money should not be put into the hands of private companies whose sole aim is to make a profit.

Active management and staff have done a fantastic job over the years and don't deserve this attitude by stirling council. There are far to many questions to be answered such as sum has never managed an ice rink.

Active Stirling have delivered a wonderful service over the years and it would be a disgrace if they lost this contract to someone else.

I worked in local primary schools in a very deprived area and know the fantastic job Active Stirling are doing to encourage children and adults to become more active. We need to keep this service for local people and the local community.
