Fighting for Active Stirling and Luxury Lives!

I would like Active Schools to remain as Stirling Council's provider of sports throughout Stirling region.

We are incredibly lucky to live in a city where sport is such a huge part of our community life and Active Stirling is a big part of that. Why change ?

Active Stirling were fundamental in helping the promotion and development of my sport (cycling) in Stirling. Without them we would not have the largest youth cycling club in Scotland or such a successful adult. Keep Active Stirling and maintain the health and wellbeing of the area!

Active Stirling provide great services for my children including holiday club and gymnastics. Can you guarantee this will continue at the same costs with the new set up. Was this facility not built on the premise that it was local for local people when it replaced the old pool?

I am a founding member of the Wallace Warriors, the junior section of Stirling Bike Club. From the earliest days in setting up the Club, Active Stirling have been a dynamic force and constant positivity about making things happen for us. Indeed they have been one of the corner stones on which the club has been able to continually evolve. Our Active Stirling contacts over the years have all been completely focused on improving the sports package we deliver to the development of kids in Stirling, and as their name suggests, setting up a legacy for these kids to be active for the rest of their lives. I have huge concerns for Active Stirling loosing the up coming contract, that much of this support with an eye to a bigger picture in the future for the health of those that live in Stirlingshire would be lost.

Stop looking for the biggest return for your buck and start looking at the long term return for the local community.

Keep fitness affordable for the local community

Active Stirling continues (even during this period of uncertainty) to reach out and offer support to Stirling Bike Club's 2017 activities which is testament to their commitment to local clubs and fitness/health of the wider local community without the clouding of priorities that are present with commercial enterprises. Surely in the wider atmosphere of driving greater value for money, there can be no better example than a registered local charity doing a great job over the past 10 years?

Privatisation leads to huge profits for an English company and no investment in the local community and the staff. KEEP BUSINESS LOCAL AND PUBLICLY OWNED!!

Stop stifling good business.

Active stirling do a brilliant job.

Please keep this valuable resource local. Active Stirling is so valuable, please think of quality not quantity.

Don't privatise Sports facilities. Active Stirling should remain with in the councils domain.

Please keep this business in Scotland and where it belongs.

Active Stirling have been instrumental and a primary support in our efforts to give opportunities to kids from all backgrounds, ethnicities and races that stay in and around Stirlingshire a chance to participate in cycling. Three of these young riders even made it on to British Cyclings Olympic Programme. The council cannot be allowed to disregard the tremendous effort Active Stirling has shown in promoting healthy active lives for all.

Stirling council should not be outsourcing their leisure services to a company based in Leicestershire when the services can be managed and run extremely well and cost effectively by local people from a local office. Looking at the big picture, on what grounds do the Councillors think that this will be beneficial? How will it inspire the next generation?

Keep business local - it's the right thing to do!!!!
