You don't have to agree with an author's politics, you don't even have to like an author, If you are at a convention with one, don't go to where they are. Simple personal responsibility.
Science fiction should be about the fandom and the genre. Political correctness and litmus tests directed against authors for their personal beliefs is abhorrent.
People will be excluded until inclusion is achieved! Inclusive means *inclusive*. It doesn't mean that only certain people are let in the door. It means that EVERYONE is let in the door and then they all behave like Adults. If that's too hard, stay home!
I believe that a convention should be able to invite genre-appropriate guests and not be forced to exclude guests by the strident minority who feel they should be gatekeepers to what you can hear. Jada and Luis have my full support and confidence.
I support Jada and Luis in specific, and not letting a small vocal minority use smears, distortions, and outright lies to institute a political acceptability test on invited guests.
If we censor ideas, then we are Nazis, no matter what we claim.
No more no platforming. If SJWs don't "feel safe" being around people with different political views, they need to grow up or get out.

I believe, in particular, that it is unprofessional, immoral, and wrong to disinvite a guest — of any political or religious persuasion — to a science fiction convention after the invitation to that guest has been issued and accepted.
