We have some top class field event juniors coming through who are not given any encouragement by the BBC by their total lack of field event coverage

All events should be shown why not field? As a young athlete I personally feel that all events are the same and as a discus thrower I believe that the field events are just as important as the track come on...

No combined events at the Championships, a couple throws and jumps thrown in amongst Jonathan Edwards complaining and Colin Jackson speculating. The bbc are openly mocking the sport

I now can't bare to watch BBC coverage of athletics because we constantly sit having to listen to has-been athletes chat over multiple reruns of track events, whilst seeing about 1/20th of the field event attempts. It's excruciating!

1. We must watch every lap of a 3k or a 5k yet never get shown a single throw in the throws events during. 2. The most horrific viewing was the 2013 world championships - we had to watch every single lap of a women's 5000m yet not a single women's discus throw in a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL(!!) was shown. 3. The sprints, once ran, are action replayed on average 6 to 10 times afterwards. They are discussed, thoroughly analysed and talked about at a leisurely time via the studio crew when you can see javelins, hammers and discuses flying around in the background. 4. If you don't like the throwing then don't call it "track and field championships" - you shouldn't be given the right to have "and field" in the title - why don't you destroy the tradition of Athletics completely whilst at it and call it "the track championships". 5. If you never show the throwing or support it, then don't complain about the standard of throws with Seb Coe at the end of each and every major championship. 6. What "so called" legacy after the 2012 Olynpic Games? Is it the legacy to get away with doping "bans" lightly for sprints (with a 1 year ban) and then run sub 9.8's - I don't think the names require listing here. If that was a British thrower caught - a full FOUR year ban would be given WITHOUT QUESTION. 7. To not show the throws is - A total disgrace - Disrespectful - Shockingly shameful - Killing the sport of throws - Inspiring NO generation

It's an absolute joke there is never any field events covered. This time I tried to find some on the internet and there wasn't any coverage on there either!

More throwing needs to be shown... How can we expect the youth to come into the sport if there are no 'hero' figures in the limelight

Can we have the whole competition ? We have to endure all the laps of various poor long distance races. Lets have field event pundits talking about field events - not listening to retired runners. Perhaps include the event scorecard on screen to show progress of the event.
